It is expressed in the respiratory tissues of the lungs and is involved in the regulation of the opening and closing of ion channels in the lungs' airways. * ADORA1 is also involved in the regulation of inflammation. It is expressed in inflammatory cells, such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the production of inflammatory cytokines. * ADORA1 is also involved in temperature homeostasis. It is expressed in cells that are involved in thermoregulation, such as brown adipose tissue and sweat glands.
