It does this by binding to the Rna polymerase ii cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding (RnaPii-SR) and promoting the degradation of the FOXO1 transcription factor. * It is also involved in the regulation of inflammation. It does this by binding to the RnaPii-SR and promoting the transcription of inflammatory genes. * It is also involved in the regulation of keratinocyte development. It does this by binding to the RnaPii-SR and promoting the expression of keratin genes. * It is also involved in the regulation of osteoblast differentiation. It does this by binding to the RnaPii-SR and promoting the expression of osteoblast-specific genes. **Clinical significance:** * Mutations in the FOSL2 gene have been linked to a number of human diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular disease. * Targeting the FOSL2 gene has been investigated as a therapeutic strategy for these diseases. **Additional information:** * The FOSL2 gene is located on chromosome 17q21.1. * It is a highly conserved gene, with a similar gene found in mice. * It is expressed in high levels in many human tissues, including muscle, skin, and blood.
